ROYO is a leading independent producer of theatre and live entertainment, creating and presenting productions for audiences around the world. It is one of the UK’s largest commissioners of new musicals and an industry leader in developing, creating, and exporting commercial work.
Following its record breaking 2026 season of Kinky Boots The Musical starring Johannes Radebe at the London Coliseum, ROYO will return to the iconic venue in summer 2027 with a 16-week engagement of a brand-new production of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, starring Michael Ball as Willy Wonka.
ROYO’s productions of original musicals include 13 Going on 30 - The Musical (winner of Best Regional Production at the 2026 WhatsOnStage Awards), HERE & NOW - The Steps Musical, Fisherman’s Friends - The Musical, NOW That’s What I Call A Musical, Bank of Dave: The Musical, The Osmonds: A New Musical, Police Cops: The Musical and OSCAR at The Crown.
Recent award-winning revivals include Legally Blonde The Musical, The Cher Show, and Kinky Boots The Musical.
Recent and upcoming drama includes the world premiere of SAVAGE, a new play by Jonathan Harvey telling the story of Paul O’Grady and ECLIPSE by John Morton, which is co-produced with Chichester Festival Theatre.
Its entertainment and family productions include beloved children’s classics, Disney’s Winnie the Pooh and Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, alongside tours of Johannes Radebe’s - Freedom, Freedom Unleashed, House of Jojo and his upcoming show, Finally Home, which tours the UK from April 2027. Previous productions include Oti Mabuse’s I Am Here and Nikita Kuzmin’s Midnight Dancer.
